2. Information only — not advice
Everything published here is general information about how writing markets and publishing platforms work. It is not financial advice, legal advice, tax advice or a business plan, and no professional relationship is created by reading it. Decisions about your money, contracts or taxes should be taken with a qualified professional in your own jurisdiction.
3. Earnings disclaimer
Nothing here guarantees any income. Rates, royalty figures and timelines describe documented platform mechanics or typical industry ranges. They are not predictions about your results. Writing income depends on your genre, market, skill, effort, editing, marketing and timing, plus factors outside anyone's control. Most people who publish a single book earn very little, and most people who start freelancing quit before rates rise. We would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.
4. Accuracy and change
Platform rules move. Amazon changes royalty terms, disclosure requirements and upload limits without notice, and market rates drift. We correct errors when we find them or when readers report them, but we do not warrant that every figure is current at the moment you read it. Always confirm platform-specific rules against that platform's own documentation before acting on them.
5. Affiliate relationships
We earn commissions on some outbound links, disclosed on the affiliate disclosure page and on each page where such a link appears.
6. Third-party purchases
If you buy Cozy Co-Author or any other product through a link on this site, the sale is between you and that seller, governed by the seller's terms, refund policy and support process. Quill & Coin is not the merchant of record, cannot process refunds, cannot access your account and cannot deliver the product. Direct all purchase issues to the vendor.
7. Intellectual property
The text and design of this site belong to Quill & Coin. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Republishing whole articles, or feeding them into a dataset for redistribution as a competing product, is not permitted. Third-party names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are used descriptively.
8. No affiliation with named companies
Quill & Coin is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon, Anthropic, WarriorPlus, or any other company named on this site, except through the affiliate relationship disclosed on the affiliate disclosure page.
9. Limitation of liability
